HeartLine Association Celebrates its 30th Birthday in Style

HeartLine held it annual Summer Party for its members at the Wetlands Centre in London on Saturday 4 July and also celebrated its 30th Birthday. This event is supported by Goldman Sachs who supply volunteer staff on the day as part of their annual employee volunteering programme "Community TeamWorks."

This important event is held annually for children with heart conditions and their families to get together and enjoy a day of relaxation and fun. As a special birthday treat members were entertained by Theo the magician who gave an outstanding performance. Among the many activities on offer during the day were: face painting, craft/badge making, exploring the adventure playground and the interactive discovery centre, sack races, football, and a tug of war finale.

Anya Rowson, HeartLine’s Chair was delighted that everyone had had such a great day and gave particular thanks to, Goldman Sachs, commenting, “We simply couldn’t run this event without the help of Goldman Sachs who have supported us for a number of years by giving both financial support and also supplying volunteer staff.” Over 15 Goldman Sachs employees took part in activities on the day and willingly gave up their time to entertain the many heart children and their siblings. The day concluded with a vote of thanks to the Goldman Sachs volunteers and everyone enjoyed a slice of birthday cake.
