Sailing Days for 2010 We have funding in place for 4 families to go on a sailing day during 2010. Each family can be made up of six people and must include at least one heart child. All participants must be 8 years of age or over. Who Runs the Sailing Days? The sailing days are provided by Gillian and Jon Anderson at Gentle Adventures. The following is an extract from their website. Gentle Adventures is a small sailing company operating a unique skipper-charter as a therapeutic resource for people with potentially life restricting conditions. Our traditional ocean-going yacht, Patrician of Arne, provides an ideal environment for a really comfortable and rewarding voyage from Lymington, on the edge of the New Forest in southern England, into the waters of the Western Solent and beyond. The aim of the day is to balance relaxation with the action and challenge of sailing so that everyone on board is able to explore sailing.Everyone who steps on board receives a warm welcome, excellent tuition and a very high level of comfort. What is the cost? HeartLine covers the cost of the sailing day. However, members do need to get themselves to Lymington by 10am on the day, at their own expense. How can I find out more?
